Ladies Golf Section

We have about 50 members. All are welcome to play in competitions (held on a Tuesday usually) be they individual, fun team events or friendly draws.

There is plenty of competition golf for those who enjoy it, including 5 major match play (Knockouts) trophy events.

We run 4 teams in the YLCGA leagues. Scratch, A and B team matches tend to be played on weekdays. ADP (weekend league) is designed to accommodate working members who may not be free for weekday team matches. There is also an Evening league and a Winter league, and a less competitive Friendlies team which arranges matches with other clubs for social golf and to introduce players to match play.

A full diary of competitions is available on the website (Members’ Diary) and we encourage you to join the teams. It’s a great way to play other courses and meet other golfers. Mentoring by the Ladies Section is available to all new members and will help introduce you to the club and the systems in place and is the best way to get to know everyone.
